Doers of the word koinonia by Apostle joshua selman nimmak

 

James 1:22 says, “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” In this powerful Koinonia teaching, Apostle Joshua Selman confronts one of the biggest gaps in the body of Christ: the gap between what we know and what we live.

1. Hearing Without Doing Is Self-Deception

Why? Because the purpose of the Word is not just to inform your mind. It’s to transform your life.  Hearing builds faith. But doing builds character, authority, and results.

The devil knows scripture too. What he can’t withstand is a believer who actually lives it.

 

2. Doers Of The Word Carry Evidence

The character of a doer is that their life becomes evidence.

 

Doers don’t just pray for the sick they lay hands and see results.  Doers don’t just talk about forgiveness  they forgive when it costs them.

Doers don’t just preach faith they act on God’s Word when it doesn’t make sense.  Apostle Selman teaches that God is raising a generation that will be known by what they do, not just by what they say. The world is tired of sermons. The world is waiting for manifestations. And manifestation comes through obedience.

 

3. Obedience Is The Bridge Between Promise and Manifestation*

Many of us are carrying promises from God. Prophecies. Scriptures. Rhema words. But promises don’t walk themselves into fulfillment.

 

The bridge is obedience.  Noah built an ark when there was no rain. Abraham left his father’s house. The disciples launched into deep waters.

Each of them had to do something with the Word they received. Apostle Selman warns: Delay in obedience is delay in manifestation. The longer you postpone what God told you to do, the longer you postpone what God wants to do through you.

 

4. How To Become A Doer

Becoming a doer is not by striving. It’s by structure and grace.

 

a. Reduce the gap between hearing and doing.

Don’t let 3 months pass between when God spoke to you and when you acted. Obey quickly.

 

b. Start small.

God tests us with little instructions. Tithing. Reconciling. Serving. Giving. If we are faithful in little, He will trust us with much.

 

c. Let the Word judge you.

Don’t read to find faults in others. Read to find what God is correcting in you. A doer allows the Word to be a mirror first.

 

d. Rely on the Spirit, not willpower.

We don’t obey to earn love. We obey because we are loved. The Holy Spirit empowers us to live what the Word commands.

 

Conclusion

Doers Of The Word is a call to integrity.

Apostle Joshua Selman reminds us: God is not looking for the smartest people. He’s looking for the most obedient people. People whose lives match their confession. People whose homes, businesses, and ministries are built on doing what God said. Because in the last days, God will be looking for vessels He can trust. Not just vessels that can talk, but vessels that can do.

 

“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock.” Matthew 7:24 When you become a doer, your life becomes proof that the Word works. And that is what will turn a generation back to God.

John 1:1 says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

1. The Logos Is A Person, Not Just A Principle

Apostle Selman explains that _Logos_ is not just “words.” It’s the expressed mind, will, and nature of God made manifest.

 

Jesus is the Living Logos. Colossians 1:15 calls Him _“the image of the invisible God.” That means when you see Jesus, you see what God is like. When you hear Jesus, you hear what God is saying.

 

Many of us are in love with principles from the Bible, but we have not encountered the Person behind the principles. The Living Logos is not an idea to study. He is a Person to know. And knowing Him changes everything.

 

2. The Living Logos Is Creative and Formative

In Genesis, God spoke and things were formed. That same creative Word is alive today.

Apostle Selman teaches that the Living Logos doesn’t just create worlds — He forms sons. When the Word enters you, it begins to rearrange your thinking, your desires, your character. It breaks patterns. It births new capacities.

Hebrews 4:12 says the Word is _“living and active.” That means it’s still working. The scripture you read this morning can re-order your destiny if you let it. The problem is not that the Word is weak. The problem is that we treat the Living Logos like a dead book.

 

3. The Living Logos Demands Fellowship

Koinonia means fellowship, participation, communion. Apostle Selman emphasizes that the goal is not to just quote scriptures, but to dwell with the Word.

 

You don’t master the Logos. The Logos masters you.  This happens in 3 places:

1. In Meditation Where the Word goes from your head to your spirit

2. In Obedience Where the Word becomes flesh in your actions

3. In Prayer Where the Word becomes a dialogue, not a monologue

When you fellowship with the Living Logos, He begins to speak to you. He gives rhema  a specific word for your specific season. That’s how direction, healing, and breakthrough come.

 

4. The Proof Of The Living Logos Is Manifestation

A life that has encountered the Living Logos cannot remain the same.

Apostle Selman says the world is waiting for the manifestation of sons, and sons are people who are ruled by the Word.

 

The Living Logos makes you stable in crisis. It gives you wisdom for decisions. It gives you power to cast out devils and heal the sick. It makes your life a Bible that people can read. If there’s no transformation, no power, no fruit  then we have not truly hosted the Word. We’ve only hosted religion.

 

Conclusion

The Living Logos is an invitation back to the center: Jesus.

 

We don’t need more conferences. We don’t need more noise. We need men and women who have sat with the Word until the Word became flesh in them. Apostle Joshua Selman charges the church: Go back to the Word. Not as a duty, but as a lover. Not to get something from God, but to get God Himself.

 

Because when the Living Logos finds a place in you, your life becomes proof that God is still speaking, still healing, still saving, and still forming sons in this generation. “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.”_ – Matthew 4:4

The Character Of Gods Word – Apostle Joshua Selman

 

The Bible is not just a book of good advice. According to Apostle Joshua Selman, the Word of God has a character it behaves in a certain way, it carries certain attributes, and it produces certain results in the life of anyone who honors it.

 

When we understand the character of God’s Word, we stop treating it casually. We stop reading it like a novel and start relating to it like a living Person.

1. The Word Of God Is Alive and Active

Hebrews 4:12 says, _“For the word of God is living and active…”_

That’s why two people can read the same scripture and one walks away unchanged while the other is delivered, healed, and transformed. The Word is alive. It discerns thoughts and intents. It confronts you, comforts you, and corrects you. When you give it attention, it begins to work in you.

 

2. The Word Of God Is Settled and Unchanging

_“Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven.”_ – Psalm 119:89

The character of God’s Word is stability. Cultures change. Opinions change. Trends change. But the Word does not change.

 

Apostle Selman emphasizes that this is why we must anchor our lives to scripture, not to feelings or circumstances. When your job is shaking, when relationships are failing, when nations are in crisis  the Word remains settled. If God said it, it will stand. You can build a life, a marriage, and a ministry on it and it will not collapse.

 

3. The Word Of God Is Powerful and Creative

In the beginning, God spoke and worlds came into being. The character of the Word is that it creates what it talks about.

When God says “Be healed,” healing is released. When He says “You are blessed,” provision is activated. Apostle Selman teaches that many believers are waiting for God to “do something” while ignoring the thing God has already spoken. The Word is not weak. Our unbelief and lack of alignment is what makes it look inactive. Speak the Word. Stand on the Word. The Word will produce.

 

4. The Word Of God Is Pure and Refining

“The words of the Lord are pure words…”Psalm 12:6  The Word doesn’t just inform you, it transforms you. Like fire, it burns off compromise. Like a mirror, it shows you who you really are. Like water, it washes you. This is why Apostle Selman insists on the Word as the basis for character. You cannot grow spiritually beyond the Word you obey. The Word will challenge your motives, your secrets, and your habits. But it does it to make you a _notable manifestation of a son someone who reflects Christ.

 

5. The Word Of God Is Faithful to Perform

God watches over His Word to perform it – Jeremiah 1:12.

The character of God’s Word is faithfulness. It does not return to Him void. Isaiah 55:11.  This means that the promise you’re standing on is not dependent on your strength. It’s dependent on God’s integrity. If He said it, He will do it. Your part is to believe it, speak it, and act on it.

 

Conclusion

To relate with the Word rightly is to relate with God Himself, because _In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was God_ – John 1:1.

 

Apostle Joshua Selman charges us: Don’t just read the Word. Host the Word. Meditate on the Word. Obey the Word. Defend the Word. When you honor the character of God’s Word, your life will begin to carry the same character stable, alive, pure, powerful, and fruitful.
